Watercolors!.

This beautiful watercolor features the figure of your friendly neighborhood Spider-man. Not only is it very lively and colorful, this painting also has a multitude of line, shadowing and many other unique techniques. The artist manipulated the paint so well that  the color itself is fun to look at its fluidity. I like the pose of the figure but my favorite element is still the way the colors are all put together so nicely.

Something about this particular landscape grabs me. I like the way the artist has layers and different shades to capture the snow. I also liked how the artist has some areas with immense details and others or more simple of cloudy giving off the illusion of space and dimension. I like how simple the colors are but the bit of yellowish brown pops out making it look very satisfying.

This painting is a good example of an object. I like the first person perspective of the painting. Just looking at this piece feels like moment from a carefree summer vacation. For some reason i really like the way the artist painted the laces so you can see how they are lying flipped and this touches upon the depth. The colors are nice especially the blue used on the jeans. The sky is minimal yet amazing.I think this is a nice place to end for now.

Goodbye

  1. Ok here is my comments :) Love your choices and your explanations about them...most important observation is the use of layering to create value and depth. The fluidity of the colors are clear, but then in each piece the artist chose to define certain areas with more concentrated color so that certain details are not lost and edges are clear.

Biomorphic forms and Geometric forms

Yves Tanguy The shapes in this picture are great examples of  geometric forms. The large curtain like structure is an  interesting  biomorphic  figure. The values are easy to spot in this picture particularly in the sky.   Also this have very goo d lines. De Chirico The book and egg are examples of  geometric forms. The large bush in the corner is a  biomorphic  figure. The values in this picture are also clear on the sides of the  building . Magritte The lion has   biomorphic  features.
